James' and Susan's Dreams
  HOME ::

Hi, we are James and Susan, and we're a happily married couple who sail together. James is a true Brit, through and through; Susan is from the USA (Chicago, IL) but has lived in the UK for the last 25 years. Mom lives near Orlando, FL. Between us we can communicate (just) in French, German, and Spanish (and English!)

Susan James

Susan is recently qualified (November 2008) to RYA Day Skipper Standard, and holds an International Certificate of Competence (ICC). James has the same qualifications, and, in addition, has Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster theory certificate, VHF License, and several thousand miles experience. James has sailed in the UK (London and South Coast), Singapore, USA (Hudson River), Turkey and Greece, in yachts and dinghies (he's been sailing, off and on, for 44 years).

Our most recent passages were to Cherbourg in a force 10 between Xmas and New Year 2008, and to Holland and Belgium over Easter 2009.

We have recently joined the Royal Southampton Yacht Club.

We are both working towards Yachtmaster Offshore, and are looking to build miles and experience in all sorts of boats. We run our own company, so can be flexible about time, and could be available during the week, as well as at weekends. And for the right passage, we can drop everthing for interesting deliveries and passages.

We are non-smokers, very close to non-drinkers (and definitely don't drink if under way!) and don't do drugs of any kind!

We may not be in the first flush of youth, but we're competent and safe!

We live in Hampshire, UK, and we run our own business that helps people to save money (www.MoneySavingTeam.co.uk) and/or make money (www.MoneyMakingTeam.co.uk). Susan is also a counsellor and psychotherapist. James was in the IT industry for many years.
